13/08/2013 - Hi, I’m writing to you as the secretary of one of the biggest Charter Standard clubs in the country. Together with The FA, we have created a new video
campaign for Respect that we think will help your club in continuing to offer a safe, fair and enjoyable experience of the game. The FA launched the Respect programme in 2008 in response to behavioural problems at all levels of the game. Since then they’ve campaigned on behalf of the beautiful game and have seen an improvement in on field behaviour, the retention of more referees, a fall in the number of assaults on referees and provided a better environment for children to learn and enjoy football. However, there is always more work to do which is why we’re looking for people to help us spread the word about the new Respect advert.  The video is a bit different to the previous FA Respect campaigns but really gets the message across. If you can help us distribute this content, raise awareness and get people talking about the importance of Respect then you’ll be playing your part in something worthwhile and important for the game that we all love. Below you’ll find a link to the video on YouTube. Please feel free to embed it onto your club’s website and leave us a comment if you like it! It can also be posted on your Facebook timeline and you can tweet it out to your followers on Twitter.

I’ve also attached a file containing some still images from the film if you’d like to post these on Facebook and Twitter as teasers for the film.

23/06/2013 - Cottage Farm U10's 2013/14 season

Cottage Farm are currently looking to recruit experienced players to join their successful u10 teams next season. We operate several teams who play on a Saturday and also have a team who play Sundays in the Central Warwickshire League, all of which are coached by min Level 2 standard coaches who have a child centred approach to player development.  During last season we were able to win 2 cup competitions and finish with a 100% league record which is a fantastic reflection on the current squad some of whom have now moved onto professional football academies hence the opportunity to recruit the right players into our squad.

If you are interested in joining then please contact Wayne Smart tel 07570 802405 for further details

Junior coaching opportunities in Tamworth

A number of grassroots coaching opportunities are available with Tamworth’s first FA Charter Standard Development Club, Cottage Farm Rangers FC.

The volunteer roles are needed to lead the development of players at under eight and under ten age groups during the 2013/14 season.

If not already attained, funding for FA Level 1 Coaching – the basic requirement – will be offered to candidates who have the right qualities and desire to create a positive coaching and playing environment (in-line with the FA’s Respect programme).

Cottage Farm Rangers is an inclusive club operating 21 teams ranging from under sevens to open age as well as the longest running Development Centre for budding footballers from four years old.

This year the club is celebrating its 20th anniversary and continues to build innovative community partnerships through football.

Please note that it is a County Council directive that no dogs are allowed on school property, therefore could I ask that no dogs are brought down to Belgrave High School at any time, thank you

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, could we remind all parents and players that they should not park or "drop off" on the bottom car park at Belgrave High School but to use either the top car park or indeed the large space available round the back of the school buildings to the right as you drive in which you can access by following the drive in, turning right when%2
